Joslyn Eugene Anderson, 77, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Lakeland Hospice House in Fergus Falls. He was born November 4, 1932, in Fergus Falls, the son of Julius and Edna (Omlie) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Aurdal Lutheran Church. He attended country school, and then attended high school in Underwood, graduating in 1950. After graduation he was employed with Otter Tail Power Company as part of a surveying crew. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1954 ? 1956 during the Korean War, and was stationed in Fontenet, France. Following his discharge he returned to farm on the family dairy farm. In later years, after selling the dairy herd and partially retiring, he went to work for the Fergus Falls High School maintenance department until his retirement in 2007. On June 22, 1957, he married JoAnne Moseng at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ashby. He was a member of the American Legion in Underwood, the Eagles, and was a lifetime member of Aurdal Lutheran Church, holding several offices. He also served as sexton of the Aurdal Cemetery. Joslyn enjoyed doing some hunting in his free time, and attending his grandchildren?s activities and sporting events. Preceding him in death were his father, two siblings who died in infancy, a sister, Marlene Kugler; and a brother-in-law, Clayton ?Ike? Isaacson. Survivors include his wife, JoAnne of Fergus Falls; five children: Terry (special friend Linda Ogaard) of Fergus Falls, Timothy Anderson of Dawson, Susan (Scott) Stroud of Fergus Falls, Sandy (Kevin) Van Dyke of Moorhead, and Stacy (David) Boese of Elizabeth; nine grandchildren: Brad Van Dyke, Kyle Van Dyke, Keleigh Van Dyke, Kendra Ackerman, Jesse Anderson, Amber Boese, Mikayla Stroud, Sean Frandsen and Adam Frandsen; his mother, Edna Anderson of Fergus Falls; a sister, Lorraine Isaacson of Billings, Montana; a brother-in-law, Eldor Kugler of Erhard; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Judy Larson of Brandon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
