Joseph Peloquin

Joseph Peloquin, 90, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Fargo Veterans Hospital.

Joseph Floyd Peloquin was born May 30, 1932 to Joseph E. and Lorana F. (Riel) Peloquin in Grantsburg, WI. He graduated from Johnson High School in St. Paul, MN in 1950. Joe was a member of the United States Army for five years, serving in Korea. He earned a Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, and UN Service Medal.

On April 5, 1957 Joe married Barbara Neidermier in St. Paul, MN.

He served the citizens of Otter Tail County in various positions with the Sheriff’s Department.

Joe was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph and Lorana Peloquin, and sister, Marguerite Krier.

Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara Peloquin; his children, Todd (Rebecca) Peloquin, Jay (Jennifer) Peloquin, Perry (Suzanne) Peloquin, and Amy (Darin) Bredman; grandchildren, Reid (Sarah) Peloquin, Nicole (Devon) Reseburg, Dane Peloquin, Celia Peloquin, Aaron (Marina) Peloquin, Sadie Peloquin, Bennet Peloquin, Elizabeth Bredman, Emily Bredman, and Jack Bredman; great-grandchildren, Averie Reseburg, Jonah Reseburg, and Fiona Peloquin.

Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Military Participation: Fergus Falls VFW Post 612 and Fergus Falls American Legion Post 30
