June 30, 1931 — February 10, 2019

John P. Bach, 87, of Fergus Falls, formerly of Underwood and Breckenridge, died Sunday, February 10, 2019, at LB Broen Home, Fergus Falls.

John was born on June 30, 1931, in Fairmount, ND, to Louis and Anna (Differding) Bach. On March 1, 1954, John married Joy Anderson at St. Gall’s Catholic Church in Tintah.

John enjoyed fishing, hunting, and always had a garden. He had numerous bird feeders, and a dislike of the pesky squirrels when they tried to raid the feeders. Pickerel Lake was always a special place for him, with pontoon rides around the lake, grilling meals, and gathering around the evening campfire. He loved his nachos and drinking the perfect Manhattan.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence and Frank; sisters, Susanna Herding, Dorothy Schreiber and Margaret Leinen, and great-grandson, Kane Bjorgum.

John is survived by his wife, Joy of Fergus Falls; children, Bev (Paul) Israelson of Wolverton, Pam (Darwin) Krause of Underwood, Kathy (Kevin) Smith of Breckenridge, John Paul of Fergus Falls, Stephanie (Jaysen) Hasbargen of Breckenridge. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Bryan Israelson, Megan (Joe) Woodraska, Mandy (Scott) Rideout, Josh Krause, Abby Krause, Jesse (Tanya) Smith, Taylor (Ian) Bjorgum, Hayden Bach, Andee Jo Bach, Alec Hasbargen, Arica Hasbargen; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Bryson, and Brody Israelson, Duncan, Moxie, and Casper Woodraska, Jaydee and Kenzie Rideout, Zy and DeMarrion Krause, Ryder and Aria Smith, Macy and Jagger Bjorgum.
