JoAnne Marie Hiedeman, 62, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.
She was born on December 13, 1960, in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Sterling and Elnora (Leabo) Zimmerman. She attended school in Fergus Falls.
On June 24, 1978, she married Bryan Hiedeman at Tonseth Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Fergus area attending the Community Bible Church and then Life Church. She enjoyed driving to church camp events each summer.
After their son was born, she turned her attention to raising her five children. When she became an empty nester, she returned to the workforce as a driver for the Head Start Program and driver and teachers aid at OTWCAC for six years. In 1999 she went to work for Otter Tail Coaches working as a driver and aid until 2020, when her health began to fail.
She loved going for drives and collecting angels.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son; Eric Hiedeman; brother, Jeffrey Zimmerman; parents-in-law, Earl and Jacqueline Hiedeman; and brothers-in-law, Bruce and John Hiedeman.
She is survived by her husband, Bryan Hiedeman; children, Toni Hiedeman, Shawn Hiedeman, Erica (Steve) Swenson and Amanda Hiedeman; grandchildren, Eric Stevens, Nora and Emma Whitcomb, Elle and Carlton Jenkins; siblings, Kenneth Zimmerman, Kim Zimmerman, Sylvia Olsen and Marianne (Michael) Van Cleve; in-laws, Jerry (Diane) Hiedeman, Tom Hiedeman, and Jill (Mike) Beltz; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Life Church, Fergus Falls with a visitation one hour prior to the start of the service.
