Jimmy Noplos, 44, of Fergus Falls, was tragically taken from us on June 30, 2021. He was born on March 5, 1977, in Hutchinson, MN. From a young age, Jimmy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and playing sports. He grew up in the dance studio and earned top awards at numerous competitions. He played football, basketball, and danced all through high school. After high school, he served his country by enlisting in the Army, where he showed his care for others by being a medic. He earned the Commanders Coin for going above and beyond the call of duty. He was honorably discharged, then continued in the healthcare field for many years. As the bread winner in the family, he has been delivering bread to the Tri-State area for the past 5+ years.
Jimmy met his wife, Marie, at Elks Point, and they were married there on June 2, 2012. He was a very dedicated father, always attending extracurricular activities, often putting his children’s needs before his own. He was always boasting about how proud he was of his children.
Jimmy was that truly rare kind of individual that could be, and was, a friend to anyone. It didn’t matter if you had interests in common, or vastly different. Whether you had known him a few minutes or years, he enjoyed listening and sharing stories. He entered every room with a bright smile.
Jimmy lived every day to the fullest. He enjoyed long rides on his Harley, as well as in his beloved Jeep. One of his proudest moments was being knighted into the Viking World Order and joining the Viking Superfan family. Jimmy’s love for purple and gold ran deep. Football season you would find him tailgating with his VWO family or in a seat at US Bank stadium, cheering until he lost his voice.
Loved ones that will miss Jimmy include his loving wife Marie (Roggenkamp) Noplos and their children Jaiden (18), and Ariana (16) Noplos, and Nicole Fladeland, all of Fergus Falls. He will also be truly missed by his parents John (Jan) Noplos of Darwin, Nancy (Tim) Marcks and step-father Jim Massmann, all of Hutchinson. His heartbroken siblings include Deb (Kevin) Hynes, Cindy (Andy) Franklin, Dawn (John) Maluck, Candy (Jason) Blom, Peggy Noplos, Cassie (Ben) Carlson, Michael (Angela) Massmann, April (Jeremy) Mickolichek. Jimmy will also be truly missed by the rest of the loving, wonderful, crazy family and friends that he loved so dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13th, at Elks Point, 20970 Elks Point Rd., Fergus Falls, MN, 56537. Visitation will begin at 13:00 (1 p.m.), service will begin at 2pm. Please honor Jimmy by wearing purple and gold.
