Jim Lefebvre

James "Jim" Lefebvre, 78, a resident of Fergus Falls, formerly of Crosby/Ironton, died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Lake Region Hospital. He was born September 14, 1928 in Ironton, MN, the son of James and Emma (Carlstrom) Lefebvre. He attended Ironton Grade School and the Crosby/Ironton High School, graduating in 1946. He then enlisted in the Marines. He served for seven years, fighting in the Korean War as a marksman. On October 25, 1959, he married Charlotte St. Cin in Butte, Montana. After his discharge from the Marines he worked as a truck driver for a mining company in Crosby/Ironton. He then served as Crosby's police officer for three years. After that he worked in the Twin Cities as a warehouse supervisor for a plastics company. In 1979 he graduated from the Brainerd Area Technical College with a degree in Accounting. He moved to Fergus Falls where he was self-employed. He retired in 1990. He was a member of the American Legion. Jim had a strong passion for music, animals, sports - especially baseball and football, fowl hunting, fishing, cooking, children, and spending time with his friends and family. Preceding him in death were his parents; his sons: Jim, Tom, and Jeff; and a sister, June Vranish. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Lefebvre of Fergus Falls; a son, Jody Stewart of Crosby; daughter, Julie Burns of Fergus Falls; stepson, Carl Noon of Post Falls, Idaho; grandchildren: Kristen Lloyd, Amber Lefebvre, Dustin, Cody, Garret, Andy, Tom, Dessa, Naomi and Jay; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Doris Kruger and Ione Ratus both of Perham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
