Jerome Jordahl

Jerome Iver Jordahl, 70, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, November 15, 2010, at the Lakeland Hospice House in Fergus Falls. He was born January 6, 1940, in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, the son of Lars and Ethel (Mundstock) Jordahl. He grew up in Pelican Rapids, where he attended school. He served with the U.S. Army from 1959 – 1961, and was stationed in Alaska. On June 12, 1965, he married Judith Fithen in Richville, Minnesota. Judith passed away on November 3, 1991. Over the years he was employed as a mechanic with Worner Rambler,  Great Plains Natural Gas Company, and as a truck driver for Metz Bakery, retiring in 2005 after 23 years. Jerome was a member of the Teamsters Local. He enjoyed going to auctions and car shows, rummage sales, and doing handyman projects. Preceding him in death were his wife, Judith; his parents, Lars and Ethel Jordahl; and his sister, Mary Ann Jordahl. Survivors include his children: Jeanette (Tim) Schulz of Glyndon, MN, Michael (Gloria) Jordahl, of Moorhead, MN, and Margaret (Glen) Rustand of Alexandria, MN; seven grandchildren: Tyler, Madison, Dylan, Taylor, Jacob, Jaymie and Nicholas; and a brother, Lorrin (Katherine) Jordahl of Fergus Falls. Private family services are being planned. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
