Jennette Amelia Bandholtz, 93, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at the Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls. She was born April 23, 1917, in Rothsay, Minnesota, the daughter of Hans and Elida (Ellingson) Brusven. She grew up in Rothsay, where she attended school. She graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. She then graduated from Beauty College in Fargo. On May 24, 1941, she married Stanley C. Bandholtz in Fergus Falls. They lived in Fergus Falls until 1945, when they moved to San Diego. The family returned to Barnesville in 1955 where she operated “Two Sisters Beauty Shop.” In 1964 she moved back to Fergus Falls where she became manager of Norby’s Beauty Salon until 1981. She then worked occasionally as a beautician through her retirement. Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Steven; her mother-in-law, Lyda Bandholtz; two sisters, Julia Brusven and Eleanor Nelson; and two brothers, Morris and Knut “Daniel” Brusven. Survivors include a daughter, Barb (Clair) Prody of Battle Lake; a son, Paul Bandholtz of Detroit Lakes; four grandchildren: Amy (Tim) Underhill, Angela (Jason) Holm, Barrett Prody, and Christie Prody; and eight great-grandchildren.
