Jeffrey Dean Wandersee, 40, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday, April 17, 2009 at his home. He was born December 26, 1968, in Fergus Falls, the son of Lawrence and Patricia (Julsrud) Wandersee Jr. He grew up in Elizabeth and attended school in Fergus Falls. He was confirmed at Augustana Lutheran Church in Elizabeth. Jeff worked various jobs including for Wilke’s Lagoon Pumping, Pepsi, and as a security guard at the Westridge Mall. On February 8, 1991 he married Tammy Svare in Elizabeth. The couple had two children, Ashley and Cody. On July 28, 1992 he was in a car accident that left him disabled. Jeff was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Elizabeth. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, and computers, and after his accident he took up bowhunting. Preceding him in death were his mother, Patricia Norgren; his dad, Lawrence Wandersee, Jr.; his grandparents: Oliver and Adeline Julsrud, Geraldine Wandersee, and Lawrence Wandersee, Sr.; his brother, Tim Norgren; and aunts and uncles, Gordon Julsrud, Shirley Prey, and Leonard and Violet Norgren. Survivors include his children, Ashley Smith and Cody Smith, both of Fergus Falls, and Christopher of North Dakota; his siblings: Rick (Denise) Wandersee of Erhard, Lori Morgan of Rothsay, Linda (Dale) Onstad of Fergus Falls, and Chad Norgren of Fergus Falls; his nieces and nephews: Amanda Peasley, Jennifer Wandersee, K.C. Morgan, Andrew Hexum, Derek Wandersee, Kali Williams, Ramsey Norgren, and Tony and Joe Onstad; his stepfather, Stanley Norgren of Elizabeth; and his stepmother, Janet Wandersee of Fergus Falls. His family is thankful for the wonderful care he received from his New Dimension Home Health caregivers and all his wonderful friends at Goldenwood Apartments. There will be a time to greet family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Augustana Lutheran Church in Elizabeth with Reverend Kate Bruns officiating. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
