Jeffery James Hunt was born August 8, 1963, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to James and Carol (Lindberg) Hunt. On August 30, 1991, Jeffery married Dolores (Dee Boutain). To this union three children were born, Jamie, Joshua, and Crystal. Jeffery passed away from a heart attack in Fairbault, Minnesota on July 20, 2014.
Jeffery had a deep love for his family. His children and grandfather, Erling Smith, meant the world to him, and he spent as much time with them as possible. While living in the Fergus Falls, Minnesota area, Jeffery worked in numerous places such as Northern Contours, Big Chief Café, Debbies Kitchen and Ashby Nursing Home.
Jeffery was a wonderful cook, loved music, fishing, gardening, camping with his family and the outdoors. Jeffery and his children were dedicated Minnesota Viking fans, never missing a game.
Jeffery moved to the Minneapolis/Fairbault area. There he met his special friend, Jeanine Parkerson.
Jeffery is survived by his wife, Dee (Boutain) of Fergus Falls; children, Jamie, Joshua and Crystal all of Fergus Falls; son, Anthony of Minneapolis; his father, James (Linda) Hunt of Anoka; his mother, Carol (Lindberg) Smith of Fargo, ND; his grandmother, Ione Smith of Moorhead, MN; sisters, Lisa Hulm of Glen Ullin, ND, Sarah Hunt of St. Francis, MN, Tammy Bro of Cushing, OK; in-laws, Raymond and Janet Boutain of Hankinson, ND; special friend, Jeanine Parkerson of Minneapolis; Anthony’s mother, Kim of Minneapolis, along with numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Aaron; grandparents; a nephew, Justin Hulm and uncles, Eugene and Jerry Smith.
A memorial Celebration of Jeffery’s life will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Roosevelt Park in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, with Charles Tysver officiating. In the event of inclement weather the celebration will be held at Simple Faith Church, 202 West Lincoln Ave. Fergus Falls, MN.
