Jeanette Stras

Jeanette Stras, 61, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. Jeanette was born on October 20, 1950 in Fosston, Minnesota, the daughter of Albert and Katherine (Brickzin) Christenson. She attended Fletcher Grade School and graduated in 1968 from Bagley High School. She was employed at Sara Lee Bread Store as a sales clerk for 5 years and retired in 2010. Jeanette loved to spend time with her grandchildren including going to all their activities. She also enjoyed gardening and walking her pet dog, Simon. Jeanette was a very loving and giving person, who lived for her family. She cherished summers at the lake and Fridays when she would watch her grandkids. She is very loved and will be deeply missed. Preceding her in death were her father; Albert Christenson, mother; Katherine Christenson, and granddaughter Reegan Samuelson. Survivors include two daughters; Valerie (Mark) Moxness and Rebecca (Scott) Samuelson both of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; six grandchildren; Abby Moxness, Ashlyn Hess, Bradley Moxness, Elizabeth Moxness, Gabe Samuelson and Kennedi Samuelson; siblings, Kenneth (Judy) Christenson, JoAnn (Duane) Hesby, Madaline Hoopman, and Larry Christenson. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Visitation:   One hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Olson Funeral Home Chapel, Fergus Falls. Clergy:   Reverend Ned Eerdmans
