Jeanette Pattinson

Jeanette Henrietta Pattinson, age 94, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, March 25, 2016, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Jeanette was born on March 27, 1921, near Lake Wilson, MN, to George B. and Marie (Kruse) Pattinson. She was baptized and confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson. She grew up on the family farm and attended School District #44 and graduated from Slayton High School in 1939.

Jeanette attended Minnesota School of Business and graduated from the Eitel Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She received her Degree from the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health in 1963. She was employed in the health care field from 1945 to 1984, working in Flandreau, SD, Wyandotte, MI, Pipestone, MN, Honolulu, HI, Lincoln, NB, and Worthington, MN. She was then employed as a Public Health Nurse in Fergus Falls for twenty years, retiring in 1984.

After retirement, she continued living in Fergus Falls, and enjoyed many extensive travels, including all forty-eight states, Alaska, Hawaii, and twenty-eight foreign countries. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and enjoyed volunteering her time whenever needed. She served as treasurer for the local Lutheran Brotherhood Branch and the Community College Booster Club. Jeanette enjoyed watching sports and listening to music.

Jeanette had a great love for her family. Her two nephews, Don and Robert Buldhaupt, whom she lovingly called "the boys", farm in Southwest MN, and countless trips were made between Fergus and Lake Wilson attending family celebrations and events. Jeanette expressed great pride in never having missed a baptism, confirmation, graduation, or wedding over the many years as her family grew. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family over the holidays.

Jeanette was an avid gardener. While her perennial gardens were enjoyed by many neighbors outside her apartment, her extensive African violet collection wowed her guests inside.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie Pattinson; relatives, George and Elsie Buldhaupt and Joyce Buldhaupt.

Jeanette is survived by her nephews, Don Buldhaupt and Robert (June) Buldhaupt, both of Lake Wilson, MN; eight grand nieces and nephews; eleven great-grand nieces and nephews; and five great-great-grand nieces and nephews.

Luncheon and fellowship will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 1:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2016, at First Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, MN.

Interment: 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Hillside Cemetery, Lake Wilson, MN
