Jeana Marie Lanum, 43, of Rothsay, Minnesota, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota.
She was born December 28, 1969, in Catskill, New York, the daughter of Jacqueline (Rosel) and James Bemis Sr. The family moved to Tampa, Florida where she attended school. As a teenager she moved with her family to Connecticut where she completed high school.
Jeana was diagnosed at a young age with a disability, and her life was devoted to her family as a homemaker and mother.
Her hobbies included spending time with her children and granddaughter, fishing, reading, caring for her pets, attending local sporting events, and time spent with friends.
Survivors include her children: Jennifer (Brian) Hirchert of Fargo ND, Shawn Bahr of Pawcatuck CT, Breana Orlando of Rothsay MN, and Ayrika Lanum of Rothsay MN: a granddaughter, Jayedah Hirchert of Fargo; her parents, James and Jacqueline Bemis Sr. of Ledyard, CT; three brothers: Timothy Bemis and James Bemis Jr. both of Ledyard CT, and Eric Bemis of Uncasville CT; a sister, Kimberly Bemis of Groton CT; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her ex-husbands, Earl Bahr and Eric Lanum.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Service: 1 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
Interment: Hamar Cemetery in Rothsay, Minnesota
