A Celebration of Life for Jason E. Wiese, 37, of Tenmile, Ore., and formerly of Fergus Falls, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Hilltop Celebration Church, Fergus Falls. Officiating will be the Rev. Jon Olson      He died on Oct. 25, 2009, as the result of a car accident. Jason was born June 15, 1972, in Fargo, to Bethany Wiese and Douglas Wiese. He spent his early years in Fergus Falls, before moving to Greybull, Wyo. From there, Jason moved to Wenatchee, Wash., where he graduated from high school. Shortly afterwards he moved to Seattle, Wash., before returning home to attend college in Fergus Falls, where he earned a degree in histotechnology. It was at M State, Fergus Falls, where he met the love of his life, Shannon Smith. The couple moved to Sioux Falls, S.D., where Jason was employed at the Avera McKennan Hospital. In 2002, he and Shannon moved to Roseburg when Jason accepted a position with the Roseburg VA Hospital. Shortly thereafter they moved to Tenmile. Jason pursued his bachelor's degree in criminal justice, followed by a degree as a Pathologist Assistant. Because of his lifelong love of art, he opened the “Ink Monkey,” a tattoo and piercing business in Roseburg, in 2007. He also had a passion for the outdoors, including hunting and fishing and also loved to ride his motorcycle. He loved music and was an avid drummer. He is survived by his longtime companion, Shannon Smith, of Tenmile; his father, Douglas Wiese of Erhard; his mother, Bethany Wiese of Fergus Falls; a brother, Micha Wiese of Erhard; a nephew, Zachary Wiese; a niece, Amber Wiese Wallner and her husband Joe; and two great nephews, Kadin and Joseph Wallner. Jason was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Scott Wiese Jr.; his grandparents, Harvey and Myrtle Kenyon, Otto and Olive Wiese; and favorite uncle, Wenston Kenyon. Also preceding him in death were cousins: Tim Wiese, Gordy Wiese, Timothy Kenyon, Jr., Gary Lee Kenyon, Genie Gutzmer and Dane Jensen.  A previous Celebration of Life was held Oct. 29 at the Winston Community Center in Oregon.
