Jason Loehrer, 40, a resident of Dilworth, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

He was born March 3, 1974 to James and Gayle (Hanson) Loehrer in St. Cloud, where he grew up and attended St. Cloud Tech High School. After high school, he was employed as an auto mechanic in St. Cloud and later worked as a construction mechanic.

During his younger years, Jason enjoyed playing hockey and was a very talented player. Jason also enjoyed and had a special love for animals, especially dogs and cats but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Jason was very caring and found it to be a great honor, along with his brother, Donavon, to care for their mother prior to her death in 2012. Jason was a devoted father to his three children and loved them so much. He will be greatly missed.

Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Gayle.

He is survived by his three children, Alec Loehrer of St. Cloud, Kloie Loehrer of Fergus Falls, Jordan Loehrer of Fergus Falls; three brothers, Joseph Loehrer of St. Cloud, Donavon Loehrer of Fergus Falls, Dan McNinch of St. Cloud; sister, Jamie Daniels of St. Cloud. Jason is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Memorial Gathering: 6-9 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 upstairs at the Church of the Nazarene in Fergus Falls.
Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
