Janet Wandersee

January 19, 1912 — October 13, 2009

Edna “Janet” Wandersee, 97, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at the Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls. She was born January 19, 1912, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Thomas and Florence Robertson. She grew up in Fergus Falls, and graduated from Fergus Falls High School. Janet was married to Ray Felcyn, and they had one son, David.  After his death, she married Rueben Wood.  He passed away in 1975.  She later married Larry Wandersee; he died in 1994. Over the years, Janet held positions as the manager of the Red Owl Coffee Bar in Fergus Falls, at Carpenter Hardware in Fergus Falls, and with the Foster Grandparent program in the schools, where she was extremely active and received numerous "Special Grandma" awards. Janet was a member of The Federated Church in Fergus Falls. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands; two brothers, Merle and Lester Robertson; a sister, Kathryn Michaelson; and a nephew, James Michaelson. Survivors include her son, David and daughter-in-law Angy Felcyn of Sun City, AZ; two grandchildren, Carol Felcyn and Bruce Felcyn; four great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Megan Felcyn; a sister, Marian Curtiss of Pomona, CA; a niece, Susan Gadow of Fergus Falls; a nephew, Kent Michaelson of the Twin Cities; and numerous nieces, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
