Jane Molen

Edna Jane Molen, 94, a resident of Fergus Falls, went home to heaven on Friday, March 2, 2012, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls. Jane was born August 4, 1917, in Canton, Ohio. Her parents were Paul and Hazel (Morrow) Winger. She graduated from Johnstown High School in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. On August 25, 1937, she married Windsor Earl Molen in Dayton, Ohio. They were married for 66 years. While in Ohio, Jane was active in Eastern Star. She took great pride in her housekeeping abilities. She and her husband did a lot of traveling and enjoyed camping, boating, and card playing. In 1977, Jane and Windsor moved to Fergus Falls, Minnesota, to be near their only child, Joyce Skogstad and their four grandchildren. While in Fergus Falls, Jane was active at Augustana Church, where she especially enjoyed her Circle friends and working on the Lucia Tea. Jane also enjoyed her swimming buddies at the Y. Jane’s beloved sister, Janice Moore, from Oregon, came to Fergus Falls to join the family in 1996. Jane was the care giver for her husband, Windsor, and her sister, Janice, for many years. Both Windsor and Janice died in 2003. Jane moved to Mill Street Residence in 2007, and lived there until she fell and entered the Pioneer Retirement Center in March of 2010, where she received loving care. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Windsor, three brothers: James Winger, Charles Good, and Richard Good, and her sister, Janice Moore. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Don) Skogstad, of Fergus Falls; four grandchildren: Laura (Gary) Hexum, Lisa (Dale) Mulvaney, Karl (LeSandra) Behrens, and Erik Behrens and his fiancèe Camille Lougheed. She was blessed with ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Jack Good, of Columbus, Ohio, and her sister-in-law, Donna Good of California. Memorials are appreciated to the PioneerCare Chapel Fund or Augustana Lutheran Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the PioneerCare Celebration Center in Fergus Falls, with Reverend Phil Tobin and Chaplain Harry Olson officiating. Jane will be laid to rest next to her husband and sister on Mother’s Day weekend at the Scandia East Cemetery in Morris, Minnesota. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
