Jana Dokkebakken

Jana Lee Dokkebakken, 41, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, June 30, 2007, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born January 14, 1966, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Welton and Diane (Amundson) Dokkebakken. She grew up in Benson and graduated from Benson High School in 1984. After high school she attended St. Cloud Beauty College, and worked as a beautician for a few years. She returned to school and graduated from Alexandria Technical College as a legal secretary. She moved to Fergus Falls in the early 1990's where she and her son, Tyler made their home. While in Fergus she worked for the Regis and Trendz beauty shops. Jana enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and being at the "4K" family farm at Swift Falls. She will be remembered for her love of doing chores and planting flowers. She also loved Nascar racing, the Minnesota Twins, and the Minnesota Vikings. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Preceding her in death were her grandparents; a baby brother; and a special uncle, Lynn Dokkebakken. Survivors include her son, Tyler, at home; parents, Winty and Diane Dokkebakken of Fergus Falls; a twin brother, Corey (Kathy) Dokkebakken of Kerkhoven, MN; brother Jamie Dokkebakken and friend Debbie of Barnesville, MN; nieces and nephews: Cody, Jared, Jordan, Brady and Nathan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorials are preferred to Tyler's Education Fund. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church.
