James Schultz

James “Jimbo” Schultz, 65, of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

James Allen Schultz was born October 16, 1957 in Hankinson, North Dakota and grew up in Breckenridge, Minnesota. He enlisted in the Minnesota National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1979.

James was known for being outgoing and always having a smile on his face wherever he went and a “Hi” or “Hello” would always accompany that small greeting. He loved family reunions at NP Park in Fergus Falls, where he would hang out with everyone. Jamie and Jim were always best buds throughout the years. He was often seen at M & H, which was one of his favorite hangouts. You would often see him walking around town or asking for a ride to go where he needed to be.

He was a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings and absolutely loved watching those games.
James suffered health issues all his life, he eventually overcame sobriety for his drinking and went to Alanon for years.

James is survived by Donna (Tim) Harmon, Moorhead; Joyce Schultz, Fergus Falls; Robert (Carmen) Schultz, Columbia Heights; Cory Wolfe, Detroit Lakes; Kyle (Jess) Wolfe, Dilworth; Darren (Natalie) Schultz, Wisconsin; Jamie Wolfe (girlfriend, Miriam Bagola of Fargo) Moorhead, and aunts, nephews and nieces, many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernette and Gladyce Schultz, Emma Schultz, and grandparents, Jens and Anna Knudson.

Visitation: 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Fergus Falls Salvation Army.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Fergus Falls Salvation Army.
