James Norton

James Francis Norton, 82, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls. He was born April 2, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of James and Luella (Youngdahl) Norton. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty years, during both World War II and the Korean War. James was a member of the Fergus Falls VFW, and enjoyed playing the piano. Preceding him in death were his wife, Marie, in December of 2002, and a son, Edmond, in March of 2004. Survivors include his children: Richard and Deborah Norton of Fergus Falls, MN, Annamarie Kessler of Calimesa, CA, Elizabeth Beels of Highland, CA, and Paul Norton; his grandchildren: Ken and Kelly Norton of Belle Plaine, MN, Chris Norton of Fergus Falls, Jennifer Kessler of Calimesa, CA, Clara Niles of Henderson, NV, and Mark, Michael and Matthew Beels of Highland, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Gavan Norton of Belle Plaine, MN, and Brandon Niles of Henderson, NV.
