Ivan Eaves

Ivan Asa Eaves, 77, of Breckenridge, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at St. Francis Nursing Home in Breckenridge He was born August 14, 1932, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Harry and Frances Eaves. He grew up and attended school in Saginaw. He was employed as a truck driver for Farm Bureau in Saginaw.  He was inducted into the U.S. Army in March of 1953, and served for two years, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. Ivan enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins, and taking rides around the country. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Harry and Jim, and a sister, Lou. Survivors include his children: Lucy Brown of Lincoln, NE, Herman (Lois) Eaves, of Rockport, IN, Alameda Eaves, of Merced, California, Ivan Eaves Jr., of Wahpeton, Mark (Darlene) Eaves of Hermiston, OR, Cindy (Gene) Kempers, of Idaho Falls, ID, and Christy (Darwin) Anderson of Campbell, MN; five granddaughters: Edie, Chantell, Brandy, Chasity, and Crystal; nine grandsons: Jay, Matt, Billy, Michael, Kenny, David, and Bucky, Donnie, Cody Eaves; and five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Courtney, Madelyn, McKennah, Carson. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
