Irene Eide

Irene Eide, 86, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday July 17, 2017 at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.

Irene was born on January 4, 1931 to Martin and Inga (Sandvic) Mithun in Cyrus, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran in Cyrus. Irene attended school until 8th grade at New Prairie Township.

On November 25, 1953, she married Oren O. Eide Sr. in Summit, South Dakota. The couple had three children and lived in the Watson area. In 1973, they moved to Milan where they resided until 1997, and then moved to Fergus Falls.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Oren Sr.; sister, Myrtle; two brothers, Selmer and Edwin; granddaughter, Ashley Yon.

Survivors include her son Oren Jr (Dorathy Cusey) Eide of Dent; two daughters, Mary Lou Eide of Montevideo, Rosemarie Yon of Clyde, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Kevin (Tessa) Eide of Moorhead, Nicole (Aaron Samuelson) Eide of Fargo and Amanda (Jacob Ledding) Eide also of Fargo, ND, and Nicholas Yon of Clyde, NC; step-grandchildren, Vannesa Cusey of Grand Forks, ND, Matthew Church of Dent, and Charlotte Church also of Dent; one sister, Donna Benson of Alexandria; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Service: 10:30 AM Friday July 21, 2017 at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls

Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Cyrus
