Inez Norgren

Inez Norgren, 98, a resident of Fergus Falls, died February 21, 2025 at LB Broen Home in Fergus Falls, under the care of Knute Nelson Hospice.

Inez was born March 27, 1926 in Lawndale, Minnesota. She was the oldest of five daughters of Oscar Edwin and Lillian Amelia (Peterson) Trosvig. She grew up in Fergus Falls.

On November 19, 1944 she married Alfred "Bud" Norgren Jr. They made their home in Fergus Falls. They had three sons; Larry, Alfred "Butch" and Oscar.

Inez worked at various places, but the last jobs she had were at K-Mart as a greeter for eleven years and she did daycare for Dr. Matter's children for 5 years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church with her husband Bud. She enjoyed being around her family, visiting with friends, traveling, playing cards and going to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lillian Trosvig; her in-laws, Alfred and Frieda Norgren; her husband, Bud; her son, Oscar; daughter-in-law, Pete Norgren; sisters, Ramona Kumm, Colleen Kumm, Lois Eggen and Helen Duenow; brother-in-laws, Wilbur Boese, Clarence Kumm, Arnold Kumm and Roger "Shorty Duenow; Nephew, Arne Kumm.

Survived by sons, Larry Norgren and his fiance Darlene Bennett and Alfred "Butch" Norgren; grandchildren, Lanny (Susan) Norgren, Georgia Norgren and Steven Norgren; great- grandchildren, Ryan Norgren and Justin (Caitlin) Norgren; great-great-grandchildren, Autumn, Kennedy, and Harrison Norgren. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Olson Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.

Interment: Bethlehem Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
