Ilene Dosen

Ilene Mae Dosen, 91, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She was born June 18, 1921 in Elizabeth, Minnesota, the daughter of Anson and Martha (Luebke) Marquard. She grew up in Elizabeth and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1939. She attended business college in Fargo. In 1940 she married Charles Dosen at her parents’ home in Elizabeth. They moved to Fergus Falls where she has continued to live. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed working there as a secretary for many years. She treasured her family and friends for whom she always had a sympathetic ear and caring heart. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a son, Jeffrey Dosen; a grandson, Matthew Stock and a brother, Harry Marquard. Survivors include her children: Deborah (David) Stock of Fergus Falls and Dan (Ellen) Dosen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Tony Dosen of Reno, Nevada; Robin Breuer of Wahpeton, North Dakota; Leisha (Jody) Coleman of Elbow Lake, Minnesota; Jennifer (Troy) Frank and Justin Stock of Fergus Falls; Brittany Dosen and Adam Dosen of Omaha, Nebraska; several great and great-great grandchildren; a nephew, Larry Marquard of Fergus Falls; a niece, Valerie (Dosen) Spano of Naples, Florida and a dear and faithful friend, Henry Ness of Fargo, North Dakota. Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church of Fergus Falls or the Salvation Army.
