Ilah D. Bormann

Funeral services will be held for Ilah Bormann, age 63 of Fergus Falls, Minnesota on August 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota with Chaplin Brad Skogen officiating.
Ilah will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Clitherall, Minnesota.


Ilah Deette Bormann, 63 a resident of Fergus Falls, MN died peacefully in her home Wednesday August 12, 2015. Ilah was born on July 30, 1952, in Otter Tail County to Richard and Donna (Jean Deist) Bormann.

Ilah lived in a number of places throughout her life including Pelican Rapids, Underwood, and lastly Fergus Falls. Ilah had no siblings and is preceded in death by her parents Richard Bormann and Jean Wilson, and distant cousin Gary Nelson.

Ilah was employed by Productive Alternative and most recently attended Willows Day Program. Ilah had been a member of the YMCA for many years as well. The individuals who provided care to her and those she lived with, became her family. Her friends remember her as a very gentle soul who like to sit back and enjoy the view. She had moments when she shared her thoughts, surprising even those who knew her well. Ilah enjoyed her old hymnal music and would, on a rare moment, sing along.
Ilah never asked much of anyone but touched the lives around her deeply, with her gentle quiet demeanor.
