Herman Henry Teberg, 90, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Pelican Lake Nursing Home in Ashby. He was born on December 30, 1917, in Fergus Falls, the son of Herman L. and Cecelia (O'Conner) Teberg. He grew up in rural Fergus Falls where he attended country School District No. 46 through seventh grade. He then worked on the family farm. In 1941, Herman enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Army Medical Corps during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945. On November 26, 1942, he married Marion Sprenger in San Antonio, Texas. They resided in Texas until moving to Fergus Falls in 1945. Herman owned the American Family Insurance Agency in Fergus Falls. Herman enjoyed fishing, camping and tinkering in his garage. Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, Margaret; two sisters, Harriet and Mary; five brothers, Andrew, who died in infancy, Harold, Lester, George and Vern. Survivors include his wife, Marion; two sons, Roger (Terrie) of Fergus Falls and Brad (Laura) of West Fargo; daughter, Barbara (Bill Tackie) of Great Falls, MT; one grandson, Mitch Teberg; two granddaughters, Melissa (Thomas) Beckett of West Fargo and Lisa Kuchenbecker of Fargo; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter Beckett; one brother, Lloyd (Marcella) of Great Falls, MT and two sisters, Mildred (Allen) Tordsen of Elbow Lake and Violet Jacobson of California. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Olson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Craig Palach officiating. Burial will take place at St. Otto's Catholic Cemetery, Fergus Falls.
