Hazel “Iola” Huseth, 93, a resident of Evansville, died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.
She was born on October 18, 1921 in Canada, the daughter of Henry and Amanda (Gjervik) Setrum. On February 10, 1940 she was united in marriage to Clarence Huseth in Aimes, Iowa. After their marriage, they made their home in Madelia and in 1942 they purchased a farm in Underwood.
Hazel was a member of Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, painting and working on puzzles. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Clarence; sister, Ethel Goodwin; brother, Marlo Setrum; daughter-in-law, Joyce Huseth.
Hazel is survived by her sons, Terry Huseth, Rick Huseth, and Randy Huseth all of Underwood; one brother, Art (Verna) Setrum of Coronach Saskatchewan, Canada; grandchildren, Brad Huseth, Brian (LeAnn) Huseth, Bruce (Lorie) Huseth, Curt (Amanda Johnson) Huseth, Crystal Card, Austin Linder, Marshall Huseth; great-grandchildren, Monica (Jake) Baker, Travis (Lynsey Gervais) Huseth, Samantha (Lance) Dewall, Dakota Huseth, Haley Huseth, Mason Huseth, Hazel Huseth; three great great-grandchildren, Kaden and Brecken Baker, and Aubree Huseth; special niece, Donna Setrum.
Service: 1 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church in Underwood
