Harold F. Boese

Harold F. Boese, 84, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

Harold Fred Boese was born on August 13, 1931, in Fergus Falls Township. He was the son of Fred Jr. and Meta (May) Boese. Harold was baptized at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Elizabeth. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School.

Harold was united in marriage on May 13, 1961, to Marilyn A. Larsen at Sverdrup Lutheran Church in Underwood. During his early adult life, Harold farmed with his father south of Elizabeth. For twenty-six years, he was employed by Glencoe Mills and finished his career with Fergus Falls Public Schools.

Harold served on several boards at Trinity Lutheran Church and was a charter member of the Lions Daybreakers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lloyd Boese; a brother in-law, Rodney Larsen; and niece RaeAnn Boese.

Harold is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of 54 years; three children, Bonnilyn (Thom) Gaslin, of McAllen TX, Wayne (Carolyn) Boese, of Spokane WA and Nancy (Craig) Anderson, of Hopkins, MN; and eight grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, and Jana Gaslin, Ashley and Brett Boese, Dylan Hughes and Christopher and Tara Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Trinity Lutheran Building Fund or the Pioneer Care Transportation fund.

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2015, in the Trinity Lutheran Church Narthex, in Fergus Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church
