Harold M. Biegler, 78, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. He was born June 19, 1932, in rural Frazee, Minnesota the son of Edwin and Emma (Paesler) Biegler. He attended country school at School District #181 in Luce (rural Frazee). He then attended school in Perham, receiving his diploma in 1953. Harold served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force, receiving his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, and his Air Force police training at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. He was then assigned to the 517 Air Force Police Squad, serving in Bremerhaven and Wiesbaden, Germany. He received the Occupation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal for his service. On November 25, 1954, he married Joyce Kawlewski at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Perham, Minnesota. Harold worked as a tv repairman in Dent, at Erickson's TV in Fertile, Montgomery Wards and Erv's TV in Willmar, and at Hintgen and Karst in Fergus Falls. He purchased the repair business from Hintgen and Karst - known as Fergus TV. He later started Biegler Enterprises selling and servicing televisions and satellite systems. Harold retired in 1994 to their home on Otter Tail Lake, and he and Joyce spent winters in Mission, TX. In May of 2005 they moved to their current home outside of Fergus Falls. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Eagles. Harold enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, trap shooting, and remodeling. Preceding him in death were his parents, Edwin and Emma; a sister, Gladys Frank; and two brothers, Earl and Edwin J. Biegler. Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of Fergus Falls; three sons: Bradley (Karen) Biegler of Andover, MN, Victor (Laura) Biegler of Pelican Rapids, and Curtis (Mary Jo) Biegler of Underwood, MN; eight grandchildren: Michelle Hammond, Bethany Biegler, Jeremy and Nick Gullick, Sara and Aaron Biegler, and Megan and Matthew Biegler; eight great-grandchildren: Jasmine and Toby Hammond, Jarrett and Marissa Long, Emma and Isabel Haavig, Hunter Biegler, and Addison Gullick; and three sisters-in-law: Edna Holmquist, Joyce Biegler, and Donna Biegler.
