Grace Heare Moje, 52, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, January 13, 2008, at her home in Fergus Falls. She was born September 16, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Charles and Anne (Edwards) Heare. As a child the family moved to Beaumont, Texas, where she attended school, graduating from high school there in 1974. Grace attended the University of Texas in Austin, and then graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont with a degree in Fine Arts. In 1977 she married Ernest Cochran in Beaumont. The couple had one child, Heather. In 1981 she and Steven Moje were married in Ashby, Minnesota. They had two sons, Travis and Stephan. They made their home on a farm near Inspiration Peak at Spitzer Lake. Over the years she was involved with the Lake Region Arts Council, was an artist, and was a dedicated mother and homemaker. In 2000 she began teaching Art and Photography at the Fergus Falls High School. During this time she completed her Masters degree through the University of Minnesota system. Grace loved photography, ceramics, drawing, movies, music, writing, scrapbooking, card making, reading, and time spent with her dogs. She was an exceptional gardener and had a fondness for flamingos. Survivors include her daughter, Heather (fiancee Andrew Provo) Cochran of Coon Rapids; two sons, Travis Moje of Denver, CO and Stephan Moje of Bloomington, MN; her parents, Charles and Anne of Brookeland, TX; three brothers: Charles (Janie) Heare of Beaumont, TX, Travis (Denise) Heare of Kersey, CO, and Bruce (Ginger) Heare of San Angelo, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a time for sharing with family and friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls. A formal service in remembrance of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Beaumont, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Someplace Safe, PO Box 815, Fergus Falls MN 56538 or the Lake Region Arts Council, 133 South Mill Street, Fergus Falls MN 56537.
