Grace Keller, 88, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. On Christmas Eve, December 24, 1923, Grace Irene Eunice Dalien was born in Willmar, Minnesota, to Edward and Elizabeth Dalien. Her family of siblings included two brothers, Howard and Charles, and five sisters, Dorothy, Lucille, Bernice, Martha and Betty, all of whom preceded her in death. She often spoke of how she missed them, and especially her “good sisters”. In 1942 she married Albert Boutin and they had a son, Donald. They divorced shortly thereafter. In 1952 she married Ellis “Peach” Roark and they moved to Kevin, Montana. They had a son, Jeffrey in 1953. Peach’s job took them from Kevin, MT to Conrad, MT, and then in 1965 they moved to Genora, North Dakota, where they stayed until he retired. They then moved to Columbia Falls, MT in 1975. Peach passed away in 1978 from cancer. In 1986 Grace married George Keller in Idaho, and they eventually settled in Fergus Falls, Minnesota in 1999. Grace was a person who had a positive happy-go-lucky outlook and rarely complained. She made many new friends at the Broen Home as well as her Salvation Army group of ladies that she socialized with. She was a fighter when it came to her illnesses, including surviving cancer. In addition to her siblings, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald, two grandsons, Brian Boutin and Ryan Hall, and her husband, Peach Roark. Survivors include her husband, George Keller, of Fergus Falls; her son Jeffrey (June) Roark and their children Harlan, Damon, Aaron and Jeffrey E.; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a daughter-in-law, Judy; grandson Brett (Polly) Boutin; brother-in-law, Harry (Rita) Keller; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Bill); and several nieces and nephews. Grace’s final resting place will be in Shelby, Montana with her husband, Peach, with a family service at a later date in Montana. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
