Gladys Reinan

Gladys Evelyn Reinan, 97, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at the Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls. She was born December 24, 1911, in Beltrami, Minnesota, the daughter of Ernest and Grace (Olslund) Denison. She grew up in Beltrami, graduating from Beltrami High School in 1928, and then attended Wahpeton State School of Science. On October 23, 1938, she was united in marriage to William N. Reinan in Beltrami. Bill died on October 19, 1955.   She was employed as a chemist at creameries in Twin Valley, MN and Fergus Falls, MN. Along with caring for her family, Gladys volunteered many hours at the Pioneer home. She was an accomplished artist and her paintings, drawings and beautiful dolls will be cherished for years. Gladys was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she participated in Ladies Aid. Preceding her in death were her husband and parents. Survivors include two sons: Curtis Reinan of Las Vegas, NV, and John Reinan of Fergus Falls; a daughter, Gaynell (Charles) McGinley of San Ramon, CA,; five grandchildren, Charles and Brian McGinley, John William and Matthew Reinan and Jennifer Reinan Zavestoski; five great-grandchildren, Jadan Zavestoski, Connor, Ryan, Sean and Brendan McGinley; four brothers, Lowell Denison, Willis “Bud” Denison, Marlin Denison, and Dean Denison and numerous nieces and nephews.
