Geraldine "Gerry" Wessberg

Gerry died peacefully on September 19, 2019, in Kailua, Hawaii. She was born in 1930 to Henry “Hank” Halvorson and Hazel Nelson Halvorson, and raised in Fergus Falls, where she married George Alfred Wessberg. She was a member of the FFHS Class of 1948. She retired from San Diego Mesa College in San Diego, California.

Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, George and her daughter, Kerry Lynn Wessberg (McNaughton).

Son, Dr. George Allen Wessberg of Honolulu, Hawaii; granddaughters, Lindsay Wessberg Hawbaker of Southlake, Texas, and Amy Wessberg Egesdal of Honolulu, Hawaii; and six great-grandchildren survive her.

Memorial gifts may be contributed to the Wessberg Family Endowed Scholarship at 544 Educational Foundation, 518 Friberg Ave. Fergus Falls, MN 56537.

Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Fergus Falls.
