Geraldine Genzler

Geraldine Rose Genzler, 78, a resident of FergusFalls, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Broen Memorial Home in FergusFalls. She was born July 11, 1931, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the daughter of Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Pfieffer) Gebhardt. She grew up in the Aberdeen area where she attended school. On April 19, 1949, she married Emil Genzler in Aberdeen. They lived in Kerkhoven, Minnesota for many years before moving to FergusFalls in 1996. Geraldine worked as a waitress in addition to raising her family. She was a member of KerkhovenLutheranChurch. Geraldine enjoyed working with beads and doing crafts. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her special joy. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, three sisters, and a great-granddaughter, Coral Goulet. Survivors include her husband, Emil Genzler, of Fergus Falls; six children: Juanita (Marvin) Goulet of Fergus Falls, Lorita “Jean” (Lee) Jeseritz of Kerkhoven, Sadie (Mike) Cortez of Kerkhoven, Callie (Dave) Filbert of Fergus Falls, Gaylene (Tony) Erato of Hanford, CA, and Candi (Nolan) Dunham of Barnesville, MN; nine grandchildren: Richard (Jade) Goulet, Thomas Goulet, Wade (Anessa) Jeseritz, Chad Jeseritz, James (Kris) Cortez, David (Denice) Cortez, Kari (Corey) Hanson, Michael (Blair) Erato, and Aaron Erato; eight great-grandchildren: Atlanta Goulet, Alexis Ost, Luke Jeseritz, Jared Cortez, Kelsey Cortez, Braydon Cortez, Rebekah Cortez, and Connor Hanson; a sister, Helen (George) Rhodes of Aberdeen, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
