Gaylord Frovarp

Gaylord Allen Frovarp, 71, a resident of Dalton, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 13, 1939, in Adams, North Dakota, the son of Calmer R. and Sophia (Wrubleski) Frovarp.  He grew up on the family farm, attending country school near Adams.  On December 7, 1963, he married Adell Odegaard in Dalton, Minnesota. Over the years Gaylord worked as a glass glazier for Fargo Glass and Paint, and Ottertail Glass. He was also employed as a mason for Bradco. In 1986 he started his own business, Gamaliel Glass.  Gaylord was a man of many talents, who enjoyed working with his hands. Everything he made was built to last. Time spent outdoors cutting wood or working on numerous projects was a favorite activity, as well as singing and playing his guitar, and playing cards. He loved his wife and four daughters, and spending time with his family was always very special to him. Gaylord had a great faith and love for God.  Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Elsie (Bob) Mundy; three brothers, Orvin (Rosemary) Frovarp, Curtis (Beatrice) Frovarp, and Marvin Frovarp; and a brother-in-law, Les Howey.  Survivors include his wife, Adell, of Dalton; his four daughters: Terry (Greg) Benzi-Ellingson of Dalton, Jodie (Radwan) Chamoun of Fergus Falls, Stacey Frovarp of Alexandria, and Lisa (Mike) Anderson of Barnesville; seven grandchildren: Christophe and Sebastien Benzi, and Davide, Emmanuel, Lily, Joseph, and Rose Chamoun; two sisters: Irene Howey of Pontiac, Michigan, and Thelma (Bob) Bolduc of Stephen, MN; two brothers: Christ Frovarp and Willard (Marlene) Frovarp both of Park River, ND; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Skare.  Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church Service:1 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Hilltop Celebration Church in Fergus Falls Clergy:Pastor Dan Mueller and Pastors Jayson and Tammy Mueller Interment: Zion Cemetery, Dalton, Minnesota
