Gail Meyer, 88, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, December 25, 2023 at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.
Gail Ann Rosholt was born May 30, 1935 to Theodore and Nora (Anderson) Rosholt in Fargo, North Dakota. She grew up on a farm west of Pelican Rapids. She attended Pelican Rapids High School, graduating in 1952. After high school, she attended the University of Minnesota’s nursing program and later Concordia College in Moorhead.
On August 17, 1957 she married David Meyer at the South Immanuel Church in rural Rothsay. The couple moved to Dane Prairie Township in 1959, where they farmed.
Over the years she was involved in daycare, the children’s home, fabric store, and most recently was an aide at the Homework Center. Gail was a member of Swan Lake Lutheran Church. She loved gardening, raising chickens, baking and cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a Dane Prairie 4-H leader and loved the fair.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, David in 2003, and an infant brother.
Gail is survived by her children, Ted (MariaLita) Meyer, Karl (Jeanette) Meyer, and Dori (David) Knutson all of Fergus Falls; four grandchildren, Marc, Kenji, Josh, and Luke (Karen); five great-grandchildren, Levi, Carter, Hudson, Henry, and Kaija.
Memorials are preferred to Swan Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Swan Lake Lutheran Church, rural Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.
