Frances Pedersen, 74, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls. She was born February 4, 1935, rural Erhard, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Spencer) Boese. She grew up in rural Erhard and attended country school. After her school years, she was a housekeeper for various farmers in the area. On March 22, 1958, she married Christ Pedersen at the First English Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls. The couple resided in Orwell Township. Christ was killed in a farm accident, on July 20, 1964. Shortly after his death, Frances moved into Fergus Fall and did daycare and housekeeping services. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and had been active with it’s many activities. She will be remembered as a hard worker, enjoyed telling stories, visiting with family, enjoyed a good meal and flowers and did much embroidering. Her pride and joy were her great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Lee of Thief River Falls and Denise (Dean) Knutson of Dalton; seven grandchildren , Shane (Kirsten) Kragness of Fergus Falls, Jessica (Todd) Smith of Fergus Falls, Jennifer Lee of Fergus Falls, James Lee of Braham, Jessica Knutson of Morris, Alicia (Ryan) Lanoue of Fergus Falls and Joyce (Nick Pieschke) Knutson of Brandon; five great-grandchildren, Malayna, Marissa, Michael, Aunnaka and Trace; three sisters, Carol Dalluge, Garden Grove, CA, Alice (Richard) Carlson, Erhard and Selma Mobraten of LaFayette, IN; one brother, Albert (Christine) Boese of Pelican Rapids, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
