Florence L. Nelson, 88, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
She was born May 14, 1926, in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Richard and Gertrude (Witt) Lankow. She grew up near Campbell, graduating from high school there.
On July 10, 1946, she married Robert Nelson. Along with being a homemaker, she also worked as a housekeeper at the Pioneer Home and later worked at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center, both in Fergus Falls.
Florence loved to watch the Minnesota Twins, enjoyed flowers, fishing, camping, being outdoors and loved her dogs. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses.
Preceding her in death were parents and her husband, Robert.
Survivors include her sons, Tom (Lisa) Nelson of Wahpeton and Tim (Kris Bakke) Nelson of Fergus Falls; grandson, Christopher (Janice) Nelson of Breckenridge; great-granddaughter, Isabelle Nelson; and a brother, Jess (Doretta) Lankow of Campbell.
