Evelyn Swenson

Evelyn Mae Snook Swenson, 97, of Fergus Falls, died May 8, 2023, at PioneerCare.

Evelyn Mae Snook was born on January 5, 1926, to Emma (Eidem) and Ray Snook in Windom, MN. She attended school in the Windom area. She was married to Robert J Swenson on September 21, 1946. They were the parents to six children. She attended college to be a nurse and worked in Minnesota and Colorado medical facilities. Evelyn enjoyed traveling all over the Unites States, including Alaska. She traveled to Japan, Germany, Europe, and Mexico. Evelyn enjoyed needle work, crafts, reading, and spending time with family.

Evelyn is survived by four sons and one daughter, Larry (Priscilla), Keven (Arveda), Lynn and Brian (Shannon) and Julie Nodsle; 20 grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death, son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Kay Swenson; great granddaughter, Emma; her parents; siblings, Hazel Strenge, Merril, Donald, Harold, Curtis and Arlan.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
