Evelyn Josephine Anderson Koppe Dilly, 86, of Fergus Falls died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. She was born November 18, 1920, in Springbrook Township, Kittson County, Minnesota to Carl and Elphie (Peterson) Anderson and was the last surviving Anderson child. She was baptized and confirmed at East Emmaus Lutheran Church. She graduated from Hallock High School. On August 17, 1946, she married Paul Koppe and they made their home in Fergus Falls where he was a long-time employee of the Fergus Journal. He died in 1964. She married Walter Dilly in 1971 and they lived in Henning until his retirement when they moved to Fergus Falls. He died in 1982. She retired in 1985 from the Otter Tail County Recorder's office. Most recently she lived in Sheridan House and the Broen Memorial Home. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church. She enjoyed participating in church activities, gardening and spending time with her family and many friends. Her grandchildren knew they had a loving and indulgent grandmother. One of her greatest joys was cooking for those around her. Her specialties included chocolate birthday cakes, brownies, cookies, sloppy joes and "Grandma Dilly" hot dish. She is survived by her four children: Sandra (Jim) Smith of San Diego, California, Paulette (David) Fleming of Arden Hills, Minnesota, Barbara Koppe of Fargo, North Dakota and David (Ann) Koppe of Minnetonka, Minnesota as well as four grandchildren: Alison Smith, Lindsay (Nick) Rasmussen and Emmy and Tom Koppe. She is also survived by her step-family: Pat (Dick) Peterson and their children Vicky Painter and Scott (Betsey) Peterson and by Jim (Cindy) Dilly and their children Luke (Ellen) Dilly, Clayton (Jen) Dilly, Derek Dilly and Jessica Dilly. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Erlyce Fosmoe and Margaret Babst and brothers Wendell Anderson, Raymond Anderson, George Anderson, and Rodney Anderson. Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, October 1st at Olson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
