On June 20, 1948, she married James Murvel Beethe in Edgeley. The couple made their home on a farm near Fullerton. They left the farm in 1964, moving to Fargo, where she began a career with the J.C. Penny Company. In 1975 they moved to Issaquah, WA, continuing working for J.C. Penny.
