Eunice Ione Thompson

Eunice Ione Thompson, 95, of Coon Rapids (formerly of Elbow Lake) died Friday July 14, 2017 at her residence in Coon Rapids.

She was born on September 16, 1921, the daughter of Oscar and Clara (Thorp) Martinson in Sanford Township, Grant County, MN.

She was married for 75 years to her one-and-only Tracy. A longtime resident of Elbow Lake, Eunice was employed at Schroeder’s Department Store, as well as Strand Insurance Agency.

Eunice found great enjoyment in her many friends, cooking, sewing, crochet, haranguer, raising violets, making rag rugs, and spending time at the lake. She was also a member of the Sons of Norway.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Tracy, in 2014; her parents, Oscar and Clara; son, Everett; and brothers, Glen and Delano.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Bridget Thompson; granddaughters, Amy Thompson, Katie (Glen) Freuden, and Sarah (Rob) Whitecotten; great-granddaughters, Carsten and Marion Kerr; great-great grandchildren, Gavin and Norah Moszer; sister-in-law, Janet Martinson; nieces, Michelle (Ross) Stageberg, Denise (Scott) Kossan, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Service: 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls

Burial: Erdahl Lutheran Cemetery, Erdahl, Minnesota
