Ethel Brown, 70, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday, December 11, 2009, at her home under the care of Lakeland Hospice. She was born, July 1, 1939, in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Andrew and Louise (Grue) Andersen. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dalton. Ethel attended elementary school in Dalton, continuing her education in Fergus Falls, graduating in 1957. On June 15, 1957, she married Pat Brown at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dalton. She worked in retail at Montgomery Ward and TGY Discount; Insurance at Enstad Mann Insurance and Security State Bank/Security Insurance; Economic Development at Thom Consultants, all in Fergus Falls and retired as an Administrative Coordinator at Otter Tail Power Company, in 2004, also in Fergus Falls. Ethel was active in Day Breakers Lions, serving as president; taught Sunday School, Wednesday School and Bible School at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls; was a 4-H leader; Cub Scout Den Mother and was involved in the Town and Country Saddle Club. She enjoyed quilting, reading and gardening. Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Alvina Benson and brothers, Arthur Andersen and Merium Moen. Survivors include her husband Pat of Fergus Falls; her son, Patrick (Lynnette) Brown of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Ellen (Chris Loudon) Brown of Duluth, MN; grandchildren, Hannah, Andrew and Joshua and special friends, Leona, Janet, Marsha, and Floyd and Nellda Lehne. Visitation   one hour prior to the service at the church Memorial service    11 am Tuesday at Our Savior’s-Ten Mile Lake Lutheran Church, Dalton Clergy     Reverend Tom Junkert Interment  Our Savior’s Cemetery, rural Dalton Funeral Home    Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
