Eric Brown

Eric Wayne Brown, 47, a resident of Fergus Falls, died suddenly on Friday, August 6, 2010, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls after a brief battle with cancer. Eric was born on November 15, 1962 to Jesse and Edith (Lee) Brown at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Eric was a fun-loving person and loved people. He was a dreamer who enjoyed the arts and was especially fond of music. He was a most talented singer with a beautiful voice. He also received local attention for his role in the play, “To Kill a Mockingbird” in 2002. He married Vada Lynette Hunt on February 28, 2007 in Fergus Falls, where they resided with their children. Most recently he worked hard with Habitat for Humanity to provide a beautiful home for his loving family. They moved into this home on March 28, 2009. Eric received much joy from his study of the Bible and learning the truth about Jehovah God and His purpose for man and our future. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was looking forward to sharing the beautiful truths he learned with others. Preceding him in death was his father, Jesse Brown. Survivors include his wife, Vada of Fergus Falls and family; special friend, Diana Wright; son, Michael Adam Wright, special friend, Rebecca Chapman; daughters, Erica Vashti-Starr Brown, Valora Errisa Brown, Erice Jeva Brown, Jada Jasmin Brown; a granddaughter, Lainah Richardson; and a stepdaughter, Yasha Miller. He is also survived by his mother, Edith Lee Brown; brothers, Vernell (Debra) Brown, Terrance (Prinda) Brown; sisters, Jeanette Matthews and Connie Brown along with numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives too many to number. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
