February 12, 1974 — June 5, 2009

Eric Richard Anderson, age 35, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, June 5, 2009, in Rugby, North Dakota. He was born on February 12, 1974 in Torrington, CT the son of Richard and Wendy (Labraaten) Anderson. At the age of four he moved to Fergus Falls where he attended school, graduating with the Fergus Falls High School Class of 1992. He went on to graduate from the Fergus Falls Community College before attending Moorhead State University. He earned a degree in computer networking from the Moorhead Technical College and went on to do networking around the region. Those who knew Eric, knew of his gentle spirit and felt his warmth and kindness. This became most evident when he was with his boys, who were the love of his life. Eric was gifted with creativity. One of his many talents was guitar playing, of which he taught himself and composed his own music. Eric was very well read and knowledgeable on many topics often sounding like the ‘little professor’. He had a unique sense of humor and his infectious laugh could make even Scandinavians smile. He was preceded in death by his father in 2002 and grandmother (Helen Labraaten) in 2004. Survivors include his mother, Wendy (Bruce) Anderson of Fergus Falls, two sons, Caleb and Eli Anderson of Fargo, a brother, Christopher (Cheryl) Anderson of Fargo, two nieces, Kyra and Katie, one nephew, Jack, his grandparents Walter (Adele) Labraaten and Violet Anderson all of Fergus Falls, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
