Retired Minnesota District Court Judge, Elliott O. Boe, 90, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday, April 8, 2016, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
Elliott was born on March 30, 1926, to Oscar and Helen (Doege) Boe in Appleton, MN. He served in the United States Army Air Corp. during World War II. He was a Disabled American Veteran and was a member of the Fergus Falls VFW Post 612 and the Disabled American Veterans.
On September 15, 1948, he married Ruth Marian Steen at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Elliott served as Chief Judge and Assistant Chief Judge of the 7th Judicial District during the unification of the trial court system in Minnesota. He presided in each of the ten counties in the district during that time, and was a trial court judge chambered in Fergus Falls for thirty years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife, Ruth Boe Steen.
Elliott is survived by his five children, Jeffrey, Nathan, Stephen, Eric and Karen Boe; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A private memorial will be held at Heilberger Lake for Elliott and Ruth, his beloved wife of sixty-four years.
