Eleanora Alma (Norgren) Holt, 97, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Pioneer Cottages in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
She was born on June 7, 1920 in Elizabeth Township, to Elof and Anna (Scheffler) Norgren. She was often called “Tootie”.
On October 1, 1946, she married Eugene Holt. Together they farmed east of Elizabeth, Minnesota, and raised 4 children. Eleanora was active in her church, Ladies Aid, a leader in 4-H, Homemakers Club and the VFW Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death: husband, Eugene Holt, brother Kermit Norgren, sisters Ruth Thom, Mae Haugen, Fern Stras, Laverne Johnson, son-in-law Douglas Reid and numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Eleanora is survived by her four children: Karen Reid, David (Lorri) Holt, Janet (Jim) Robinson, and Sandra (Mike) Knutson. Grandchildren: Rachelle (Chris) Glunz, Meloney (Tom) Knight, John (Jeni) Reid, Thomas Knutson, Aimee Knutson, Megan (Daryl) Kugler, Adam (Megan) Barker, Missy (Steve) Pitts, Dawn (Paul) Hess, Loretta (Lon) Peterson. Great-Grandchildren: Joseph and William Glunz, Matthew and Mitchell Knight, Marissa Reid-Phillips, Paige Reid, Declan and Sutton Kugler, Trent Pitts, Ethan and Karmyn Schwartz, Sarah and Katie Hess, Corey Resler and Chloe Peterson. Siblings: Joyce Thom, Elof (Bonnie Anderson) Norgren, Jr, Janice (Charlie) Vangsness, and In-Laws Diana Norgren, Wallace (Marlys) Holt, Geneva Adams, Mavis Holt, Janet Holt and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to Augustana Lutheran Church of Elizabeth, Minnesota or LB Lakeland Hospice of Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
Visitation: Monday, August 14, 5-7p.m. at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, with a prayer service at 7p.m, and resuming one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: Tuesday, August 15, 11a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, Elizabeth,
Minnesota, Reverend Kate Bruns and Pastor Dave Strom officiating.
Interment: Augustana Lutheran Cemetery, Elizabeth, Minnesota.
