Eleanor Rittenour Auseth

Eleanor Rittenour Auseth, 102, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at LB Broen Home in Fergus Falls.

Eleanor Frances Barlage was born February 15, 1922 to James and Annie (Braaten) Barlage in Monson Township, Traverse County, MN. Eleanor Barlage was married to Raymond Rittenour in Wheaton, MN on March 1st, 1939. Together they farmed and raised their four children until his death in 1985. Eleanor remarried Alvin Auseth, of Fergus Falls, MN in 1996, where they lived, on the Auseth farm, until his death.

She was a member of Redpath Homemakers, Ladies Aid, and a volunteer at Lake Region Healthcare. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking.

Preceding her in death were her husband Raymond Rittenour and second husband Alvin Auseth; son, Don Rittenour; grandsons, Cory Rittenour and Paul Gregg, and step-son, Duane Auseth.

Eleanor is survived by her children, daughter-in-law Sharon Rittenour, Sandra (David) Gregg, Daryl (Kathleen) Rittenour, and Neil (Debra) Rittenour; step-children, Sharyl (Mark) Richardson and Darrel (Caroline) Auseth; grandchildren, Randy (Janele) Rittenour, Pam (Tom) Droege, Lisa (Paul) Rosendahl, Matt (MaryJo) Gregg, Teresa "Terri"(Ron) Torgerson, Mike (Susan) Rittenour, Tom (Jessica) Rittenour, Darin Rittenour, Cameron (Kelsey) Rittenour, CalieAnn (Chris) Mark, Mark (Hannah) Rittenour, and Candace (Casey) Ehlert; 26 great-grandchildren with two on the way; 18 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way, and brother, Willard Barlage.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2025, at Olson Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.

Clergy: Reverend Amy Kelly

Interment: Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton, MN in the spring of 2025
