Elden Albert Iversen, 82, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
He was born September 3, 1930, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of Albert and Ann (Eckerman) Iversen. He grew up in rural Fergus Falls, attending District 31 in Buse Township, and then Fergus Falls High School, graduating in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 – 1949, and then attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, Minnesota, graduating in 1950.
In 1953 he married Orlena Bergstrom. The couple shared three children. He was employed at Zinsmaster Baking Company in Minneapolis from 1953 – 1955. He then began his employment at Otter Tail Power Company in Fergus Falls, where he was the Rate Administrator in the Rate Department. He retired in 1992 after 37 years.
On March 11, 1982, he married Elaine (Amiot) Friebohle in Fergus Falls.
He was a member of the Eagles and Elks, and Grace United Methodist Church where he sang in the Chancel Choir.
Elden enjoyed golfing, dancing, traveling, playing cards, and photography.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his sister, Margie Holmen, and his brother, Delmond Iversen.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine, of Fergus Falls; a daughter, Corinne (Barry) LaGrave of Stillwater, MN; sons, James Iversen of Robbinsdale, MN, and Mark (Cheryl) Iversen of Mankato, MN; stepchildren, Todd (Cindi) Friebohle of Winona, MN, Karen Blake of Moorhead, MN, and Scott Friebohle of Fergus Falls; 17 grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Iversen of Fergus Falls.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church in Fergus Falls

Interment: Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Fergus Falls
