Dr. Edwin Stahlberg, 86, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls. Edwin Donald Stahlberg was born on February 25, 1926, in Kenmare, ND, the son of Edwin A. and Evelyn (Bird) Stahlberg. He grew up and attended school in Rapid City, SD. After High School he spent a year at the School of Mines in Rapid City, SD, two years at the University of MN Duluth and finished his undergraduate work at the U of MN, Twin Cities Campus where he was accepted into the Dental Program. He served with the Army Air Force during the Korean War. Upon returning from the Army, he entered dental school. Following graduation he set up a dental practice in Sacred Heart, MN, later he moved to Fergus Falls where he practiced until his retirement in 2005. In 1954, he married Jeanine M. Miller in Minneapolis. Through the years Dr. Stahlberg was a member of the Lion’s Club and the Minnesota Dental Association. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and wildlife photography. Preceding him in death were his parents, and a son, David. He is survived by his three children; E. Donald Stahlberg of Morton, Ill, Joel Stahlberg of Arlington, WA, and Susan Arnold of East Stroudsburg, PA, six grandchildren and a sister, Joanne Koch of Mobile, AL.
